Just a Thought

Straight Face

December 18th, 2008

The talent that i have always wanted and enveyed was the skill it takes to never break a straight face. I feel like alot can be accomplished buy having a convencing straight face. You can trick your bestfriend into thinking that it really wasn’t you who put that little bite of construction paper in her hair lol.Or if a teachr is asking me a question (that i usually don’t know the answer to) , meanwhile I’m distracted by that random piece of spinach stuck in between her teeth and trying to use everything in my power to keep from laughing. The reason why i really want the skill of keeping a straight face is that no matter how hard i try i will always laugh when trying to keep a coviencing straight face, not because what i’m trying to avoid laughing from was actually funny, but because my attempt of keeping a straight face seems to always make me loose my composure. Why can’t i just be like those gards in london? :[

Coach for a Dad !!!

November 16th, 2008

What’s it like being the coaches daughter? That is the question I have been frequently asked during my high school existence, which tends to be followed by a habitual short answer something like it’s crazy or it’s really great. As I was digging in the depths of my brain for a possible blog topic it just occurred to me that I have never really thought about that question; what has it been like for me having a football coach for a dad. I mean not only is he a football coach which that alone could drive a teenage girl insane, he coaches at the very high school I go to.
I’m not to worried about having him around me there though , it’s like having your own bodyguard against creeps. For example if a psycho boy was stocking me I could just shoot an SOS signal with my eyes towards my dad and he would come over and save me with his famous death glare. That part I don’t mind however having a coach for a dad means he has no connection with any thing girly in our house; which might be hard since most of my family are girls. If there is drama or tears happening in the room he just sort of sneaks out and mumbles some kind of excuse while sneaking up to watch the television. If you have a dad for a coach forget about watching the shows you actually like it is always sports, sports, sports, army movies, and more sports. All an all having a coach for a dad isn’t bad unless you expect him to go shoe shopping with you :]

For anyone who cares :]

September 23rd, 2008

Hi, I’m Holly Fees.Quoting Meg Ryan from one of my favorite movies You’ve Got Mail, “Im starting each blog like we’re the dearest of friends in the deepest of conversations with one another.” Unlike most people, I like to blog. My only fear is that you, as my audience, won’t be satisfied with my random yet interesting thoughts. For that I give my sincere apologies, however, in my self-defense I gave you for warning, so any suffering that might be caused on my behalf, you have only brought it upon yourself :] With that being said, I would like to give a shout out for laughter, it’s the only thing that can make me cry and smile at the same time.
After analysing other peoples blog I have come to the conclusion that mine SUCKS!!! With that being said….. I would talk about homecoming but seriously who really cares whether or not I’m wearing my hair up or down (I’m wearing my hair up by the way) jk :]. No,no not to diss homecoming or anything, but something has just occured to me that has lately been on my mind. You always hear that nerds, or geeks (or whatever) are really good at technology and things of that nature and get the most criticism for it. I have to disagree, I think the people who get the most criticism are people like me, people who are not talented in the art of computer skills at ALL, or who were born without being technologically inclined. Those are the type people who get the shaft, the certain people who get criticized for not being able to orchastrate a powerpoint ,or who can’t even create there own facebook for themselves lol. We are the ones forced to reap the aftermath of a forever changing technological world. Not that I’m against technology or anything(my favorite is the invention of the television). I just feel like there should be some kind of club for people like me. I don’t know just a thought .

Cheezy POP song’s

September 22nd, 2008

You know those recent cheezy pop songs that you here all the time and you mock when your around people, but really in secret you think it’s kinda catchy and on occasion you jam out to them in your bed room. I’m afraid that i am guilty, the certain song for me is Miley Cyrus’s 7-Things. UUUHHH i’m going to kill my self for admiting to this. Don’t try to confront me about it either I WILL DENY IT COMPLETELY!!!!
